Though the show’s been axed, work on the film version of the hit action series seems to be making some progress.
Kiefer Sutherland tells IGN UK that scribe Billy Ray (“Shattered Glass,” “Breach”) completed the script a few weeks ago and the two-hour film will most likely cover a 24-hour time period.
This frees the story up to take place in potentially several countries as it allows Jack Bauer to potentially fly around Europe.
As for that story, the plot could go back to the basics of the first season with a more personal crisis to deal with rather than the more grandiose terrorist schemes of recent years.
Sutherland said he hasn’t read the script as yet, but plans to when he returns to the US shortly.
