Ahead of its premiere at the Venice Film Festival in a few days, Amazon Studios has released the first standalone clip from Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming remake of the classic Dario Argento horror film “Suspiria”.
The scene shows Tilda Swinton’s Madame Blanc and her improvisational teaching methods at this ballet school in Berlin 1977 with Dakota Johnson’s newly arrived American student asked to improvise a routine – only for the sequence to turn into something more sinister.
Chloe Grace Moretz and Mia Goth also star in the film which boasts a script by David Kajganich and a score by Thom Yorke of Radiohead. In a separate interview for Screen Daily Swinton revealed the interesting statistic that there are forty-one key roles in the film, only three of which are men.
The film opens in cinemas in limited release on October 26th before a nationwide rollout on November 2nd.
