Aside from the about to end “Smallville”, the CW network has renewed all five of its established series for next season.
The network’s most watched show, “The Vampire Diaries”, will score a third season. This year it has been pulling in an average of 4 million viewers an episode.
Fan favourite “Supernatural” has scored a seventh season renewal. While the move to Friday nights this past season has seen a drop in ratings for the show itself (down to about 2.5 million viewers per episode), it has made the network one of the most competitive on the night and seen an increase of 60% in viewers for the timeslot.
Also getting renewals are “Gossip Girl” with a fifth season, “90210” for a fourth, and the “America’s Next Top Model” franchise.
