Focus Features has acquired worldwide rights to AdScott Pictures’ contemporary comedy “For a Good Time, Call… ” which marks the debut feature from director Jamie Travis.

The story follows two young women who agree to room together in NYC who end up working the phone sex business as the money begins to roll in.

Beasts of the Southern Wild
Fox Searchlight has acquired U. S. rights to Benh Zeitlin’s fantastical drama “Beasts of the Southern Wild” penned by Lucy Alibar and Zeitlin.

Set in a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world by a sprawling levee, a six old girl exists on the brink of orphanhood and believes that the natural world is in balance with the universe.

When a fierce storm changes her reality, she must learn to survive unstoppable catastrophes of epic proportions in order to save her ailing father and sinking home.
