Summit To Swallow Soderbergh’s “Pill”

Summit Entertainment is in final negotiations to make a commitment to Steven Soderbergh’s next project “The Bitter Pill” reports Deadline.

The Scott Z. Burns-penned $30 million genre thriller about a troubled and depressed woman taking serious amounts of prescription drugs to deal with the anxiety surrounding the pending release of her husband from prison.

Filming begins in April. Summit beat out both Lava Bear and Paramount for the project which has coalesced after Warners ditched Soderbergh’s planned “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” adaptation.
