Just one week into its fifth season run, USA has renewed its flagship legal drama series “Suits” for a sixteen-episode sixth season. The fifth season premiere scored 3.4 million viewers and 1.3 adults 18-49 in Live+3 and remains the network’s top drama.
It isn’t the only series scoring a renewal today as Syfy has picked up supernatural drama “Bitten” for a ten episode third season to air next year. Canada’s Space network, which produces the show, renewed it officially last month.
One series that won’t be joining them though is NBC’s international drama “American Odyssey”. NBC has cancelled the series with cast member Treat Williams tweeting the news. The critically panned drama was seen by many critics as a cheap “Homeland” knock-off, and the ratings were dismal with a 0.4 rating for the season finale.
