The timing’s a bit awkward, but some additional shooting is underway on David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” film.
An old contributor to the site visiting the Warners lot in Los Angeles this week confirmed several key cast members were on hand for filming, even though the full production wrapped some time back.
This quickly led to speculation about additional shooting or even reshoots, and BMD confirms they’re on, saying: “they’re big – tens of millions of dollars big. And they’re adding more humor and lightness into the film.”
The site suggests the reason for the new filming is simple – the Bohemian Rhapsody-scored trailer had such a good reaction that Warners decided to beef up and lighten the tone of the film and so are “bringing in some more of the lightness to which audiences responded.”
This follows in the wake of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” which has been criticised for its consistently self-serious and dour tone.
