Studios Fighting Over “Peculiar Children”

A bidding war has broken out for the film rights to Ransom Riggs’ fantasy novel “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” says Reuters.

The story follows a 16-year old boy who finds himself on a strange island that his late grandfather told him tales about. Exploring the ruins of an abandoned orphanage, he realises not only were those bedtime stories true, but only he can help a group of children, stuck in a time loop, from creatures who would destroy them.

20th Century Fox has already made a big pre-emptive bid for the project, more are expected shortly.
