Irish actor Stuart Townsend left the production of Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” last week, just days before its planned start of filming today in Los Angeles reports The Associated Press.
American actor Joshua Dallas (“The Descent Part 2,” “Red Tails”) is set to replace him as Fandral, one of the Warriors Three. Townsend officially left over creative differences.
This isn’t the first time a situation like this has happened, a decade ago Townsend left production on Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy in which he was to play Aragorn. He was replaced by Viggo Mortensen.
