CBS All Access has cancelled its period drama series “Strange Angel” after two seasons. Julie McNamara, EVP of Original Content for CBS All Access, confirmed in a statement the show “will not be returning for a third season” says The Live Feed.
Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend and Bella Heathcote co-starred in the series which followed Jack Parsons, a brilliant and ambitious blue-collar worker of 1930s Los Angeles whose dreams led him to birth the unknown discipline of American rocketry. At the same time, he fell into the world of sex magic rituals at night, becoming a disciple of infamous occultist Aleister Crowley. The second season premiered in June.
Meanwhile over at Netflix, Variety reports that their “Anne of Green Gables” adaptation “Anne with an E” has been cancelled with the upcoming third season to be the show’s last. Netflix will debut all ten episodes of the now final season on January 3rd. Amybeth McNulty stars.
