Stiller, Baumbach Re-Team On “Penguins”

“Greenberg” star Ben Stiller and director Noah Baumbach are in talks to re-team on an adaptation of the 1938 children’s novel “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” for 20th Century Fox says Variety.

Richard and Florence Atwater penned the book which follows a house painter with dreams of exploring the Arctic. Gifts from a real explorer and the zoo soon lead to him becoming the owner of a litter of a dozen penguins.

He forms them into a stage act and takes them on tour, where they proceed to cause mayhem at each stop.

Sean Anders and John Morris (“Sex Drive”) are penning the script adaptation. John Davis is producing.
