Though 20th Century Fox has set a March 2017 release date for the third and final standalone “Wolverine” movie, don’t be too shocked if that date might be pushed back according to star Hugh Jackman.
The actor, appearing on the SiriusXM radio broadcast from Entertainment Weekly last week, was asked what’s happening with the project:
“We’re writing and we’re getting closer and closer… and we’re at about page 60 right now and I’m really really excited about it. I don’t have a start date because, we’re not going to have start dates until we have that script perfect.
It matters too much to me, I care too much about the character, about the audience, and when you say it’s going to be your last one… I just want to leave everything on the table, absolutely everything.”
The project is being shaped up as Jackman’s final outing as the character after nearly two decades in the role.
