Two rumored pieces of casting have now seemingly locked their down their deals.
Palek Patel, producer of the upcoming “Snow White and the Hunstman” for Universal Pictures, has issued a tweet confirming that “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart is in final negotiations to star with Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen in the rebooted fairy tale.
Stewart emerged as front runner for the role back in January though numerous other actresses were said to have tested for the part. Stewart is scheduled to shoot “Snow White” in August.
Meanwhile, “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin has officially joined the cast of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages” for New Line. Baldwin plays Dennis Dupree, an ex-rocker hanging onto his glory days while he runs the Rock of Ages nightclub.
Director Adam Shankman confirmed Baldwin’s participation via Twitter on Friday along with the previously mentioned casting of Julianne Hough, Mary J. Blige, Tom Cruise. Baldwin beat out the likes of Will Ferrell and Steve Carell for the role.
