Sir Patrick Stewart and Rebecca Ferguson are reportedly in negotiations to star in “Attack the Block” director Joe Cornish’s family-friendly fantasy feature “The Kid Who Would Be King”.
The story follows a band of young kids who embark on an epic quest to thwart a Medieval menace named Morgana who is the half-sister of King Arthur.
Louis Serkis, son of Andy Serkis, will play the lead role of Alex who stumbles upon the famous sword known as Excalibur. Tom Taylor (“The Dark Tower) Rhianna Dorris (“Secret Life of Boys”), Angus Imrie (“Kingdom”), Denise Gough (“Guerrilla”) and newcomer Dean Chaumoo also star.
Stewart is making a deal to play the older incarnation of Imrie’s character Merlin, while Ferguson will play Morgana. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce.
