Dan Stevens, Christopher Plummer and Jonathan Pryce are all set to star in Bharat Nalluri’s “The Man Who Invented Christmas” for Parallel Films and Rhombus Media.
Based on Les Standiford’s book, the story recounts how Charles Dickens (Stevens) created his iconic work “A Christmas Carol”. Pryce will play Dickens’ father, while Plummer is Ebenezer Scrooge.
Susan Coyne (“Mozart In The Jungle”) is penning the adaptation which will begin production in December ahead of a planned 2017 release. Robert Mickelson and Ian Sharples are producing while Bleecker Street has just acquired U.S. rights to the project.
