Stephen King’s “11/22/63” Comes To TV

J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is in negotiations for the rights to Stephen King’s 2011 novel “11/22/63” with plans to adapt it as a series of mini-series, likely for cable.

The story follows an unassuming divorced English teacher who stumbles upon a time portal that leads to September 1958 and goes on a quest to try and prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy in five years time.

Warner Bros TV is doing the deal which follows in the wake of CBS’ upcoming mini-series adaptation of King’s “Under The Dome” which is scheduled to air this Summer.
