WestEnd Films has acquired worldwide rights to “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” director Stephan Elliott’s new comedy “Flammable Children”.
Guy Pearce and Radha Mitchell are set to star in the film which set in the mid-1970s around the Sydney northern beaches suburb of Dee Why.
A fourteen-year-old boy has a crush on a sensitive girl-next-door type named Melly, their eccentric parents are catching up with the sexual revolution, and the body of a 200-ton whale is washed ashore and puts the sleepy suburb in the spotlight. All of that is about to go spectacularly wrong.
The project is currently in pre-production ahead of a shoot this Fall in Australia. Al Clark and Jamie Hilton will produce.
