After offering an initially quite bold and revolutionary design, Valve’s upcoming Steam Controller has seen at least three key redesigns with a diagram of the latest incarnation leaking out today.
The initial controller sported a very original if controversial take with the two circular trackpads, a touch screen and some oddly placed buttons. Each subsequent iteration however seems to make it more and more generic.
The new version features an analogue stick, four main buttons and two trackpads. One of the trackpads now seems to support a D-pad as well. It’s expected the new controller will be glimpsed at the GDC 2015 convention in March.
