Starz Picks Up Raimi’s “Noir” To Series

Following on from their successful teaming on “Spartacus”, premium cable network Starz is reuniting with Sam Raimi and Robert G. Tapert for the new action drama project “Noir”.

The network has given a series order to the show, though the number of episodes haven’t been determined says Deadline.

A live-action adaptation of a 2001 Japanese anime series, the story follows two female assassins who vow to fight a secret society and also try to work together to determine why and how they’re mysteriously linked.

Steve Lightfoot wrote the pilot and will executive produce along with Raimi, Tapert, Joshua Donen and Bill Hamm.
