Starz Announces A Dublin Murders Series

Premium cable channel STARZ has announced that it has acquired the rights to “Dublin Murders,” an eight-episode drama series based on Tara French’s crime novels.

Killian Scott (“The Commuter”) and Sarah Greene (“Penny Dreadful”) have been cast as the leads Rob Reilly and Cassie Maddox, respectively. The series will depict a contemporary world of psychological mystery and tension, with roots that reach down deep into Ireland’s past.

The story begins when a young girl is found murdered in a dense wood on the outskirts of Dublin and the two investigating officers must confront their own dark pasts and brutal reckonings.

Saul Dibb, John Hayes and Rebecca Gatward will direct the episodes which are currently filming in Belfast and Dublin for a 2019 airing. Sarah Phelps is adapting the script.
