Stars Galore Fly On “Paper Wings”

Earlier this week the West Hollywood restaurant Saddle Ranch Chop House was the sight of a star gathering that would make an awards show jealous.

The event? Will Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment held a table reading of a script for a project its developing called “Paper Wings”, a story about a bull rider who falls for an upcoming country singer.

Reese Witherspoon is apparently already set to play said singer, while Gabriele Muccino (“Seven Pounds”) has been approached about directing.

So who showed up? From several online reports the list of names include Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Anna Kendrick, Milo Ventimiglia, Eric Dane, Chad Michael Murray, Tate Donovan, Tom Skerritt, Tom Arnold, Johnny Galecki and Jenna Elfman

A rep for Overbrook told Access Hollywood that “any actor’s presence at this table read does not mean that they have officially signed onto this project.”

Amusingly much of the initial press surrounding the event mistook it for some sort of Scientology seminar.
