Electric Entertainment and Arrowstorm Entertainment are teaming for the ten-episode fantasy adventure series “The Outpost” which begins shooting this year in Utah.
Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin created the story of a strong female hero named Talon, the lone survivor of a race called Blackbloods, as she tracks the killers of her family to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world.
Along the way she discovers that she possesses a mysterious supernatural power to help defend the world against a fanatical religious dictatorship. Casting is now underway.
What makes the project interesting is that it marks the first collaboration between Dean Devlin, the writer & producer on 1994’s “Stargate,” and Jonathan Glassner who created the spin-off series “Stargate: SG-1” which Devlin famously wasn’t a fan of but ultimately led to a massive franchise.
Both will serve as executive producers along with Faller and Griffin, Marc Roskin, Rachel Olschan and Zac Reeder. Devlin’s directorial debut, “Geostorm,” is slated to open in cinemas on October 20th.
