Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB, and The VOID are teaming up for “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire,” a new VR experience set to debut at Walt Disney World Resort in December and at the Disneyland Resort in January.
Dubbed a ‘hyper-reality’ experience, attendees will don untethered VR headgear and head out on a risky mission going undercover as stormtroopers to retrieve Imperial intelligence on the orders of Mon Mothma.
Set some time before the events of “Rogue One,” you will set out in groups of four. The droid K-2SO will also be a part of the experience which lasts roughly 30 minutes and allows users to shoot a blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters on the molten planet of Mustafar.
Lucasfilm has just released a trailer for the experience and opened ticket sales at The Void for those who want to participate. Admission for both the Anaheim and Orlando locations costs $29.95 per person plus applicable fees.
“Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” debuts at Walt Disney World Resort on December 16th and at the Disneyland Resort on January 5th 2018.
