Star Wars’ Poe Dameron Gets A Prequel Comic

More Oscar Isaac is always a good thing and it looks like fans of his turn as X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will get a treat in April with Marvel launching an ongoing comic book series centering around the character.

The new series will focus on Dameron’s mission that leads to his first appearance in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and writer Charles Soule says a new villain from the First Order will serve the antagonist for the first storyline.

Soule tells USA Today: “Sometimes it can feel like the Star Wars universe is so well trodden and so many stories have already been told. But the way the Episode VII galaxy is set up, there are opportunities for new archetypes almost, and the bad guy we’re working with is going to feel fresh and cool.”

Phil Noto, who illustrated Marvel’s “Star Wars: Chewbacca” series, will do the art.
