Unsurprisingly, J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” topped a recent survey of over 1,000 people this month by Fandango about the most anticipated films of 2015.
The new entry in the ‘Star Wars’ series came in number one, beating out “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” “Fifty Shades of Grey” and “Jurassic World” which made up the rest of the top five.
The survey also conducts a poll of the most anticipated family film of the year with the “Despicable Me” spin-off “Minions” topping that list. Not far behind are Disney’s “Cinderella,” Pixar’s “Inside Out,” the “Peanuts” movie, and Joe Wright’s “Pan”.
Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Melissa McCarthy and Halle Berry topped a fan favorite actress list in the poll, while Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Craig, Chris Pratt and Tom Cruise topped the fan favorite actors poll.
