A month out from the release of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and new details have emerged regarding the next film that will arrive in its wake – Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: Episode VIII”.
Specifically the fan site Making Star Wars reportedly has new details on new cast members Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern and their roles in the film.
Del Toro reportedly dresses in all black and is, though not necessarily a bad guy, is considered to be dangerous and has been compared to Lando Calrissian. He may also be the proprietor of a space casino.
Dern will reportedly be playing a ‘bombastic’ character with a unique look that involves pink hair and said to be ‘Hunger Games’-esque. Her personality is “very aristocratic and fancy in a way we haven’t really seen in Star Wars before.”
There’s also brief details on Kelly Marie Tran’s character, the actress will reportedly be tangled up with Finn and is “sort of the opposite of Laura Dern aesthetically speaking”.
Little is known about this direct follow-up to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” but an official title will hopefully be revealed in coming weeks ahead of its late 2017 debut.
Meanwhile “Rogue One” is first and a good quality copy of the best poster art for the film to date has finally arrived after a low-res version hit a few months back. Check it out below.
