Filming on “Star Wars: Episode VII” is set to wrap shortly, and now a report has emerged that indicates the film’s first trailer is coming together and could be out sooner than you think.
A source tells JWFan that a trailer for the highly-anticipated sci-fi epic has been cut and composer John Williams is reportedly set to record new music for the footage on November 15th:
“A reliable source just said JW received a trailer from J.J. Abrams on Monday, October 20th. JW has already written new Star Wars music to accompany this trailer. This new trailer music will feature new music and will be recorded on November 15th in LA with full orchestra.
Still determining if the score will be recorded in London due to advanced age of composer/conductor. Fourteen-hour flight to LA not too kind on an 82 year old. This is all a secret and this message will be deleted shortly.”
Of course the big question is if this is true, when would said trailer debut online or in cinemas. If it is in front of a Disney film it isn’t likely to be “Big Hero 6” at Thanksgiving as that’s too soon.
The best bet would be with the musical “Into the Woods” opening Christmas Day with an online launch in the days beforehand. Various studios use the two weeks before Christmas to debut the teaser trailers for some of 2015’s biggest films. A first look “Star Wars” trailer could easily ‘win’ the month so to speak.
