Star Wars Delay Talk Again, New Plot Rumors

Back before production began on “Star Wars: Episode VII”, both producer Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams were keen on pushing back the release date from December 2015 to May 2016 to give them more time. Disney chief Bog Iger said no.

Harrison Ford’s recent injury has prompted speculation that production might be delayed as well, and that Oscar Isaac’s role is being expanded to make up for the loss of Ford. Both claims the studio has denied.

Now, Latino Review says that behind-the-scenes friction is growing with Kennedy and Abrams looking for a May 4th 2016 release, but Iger is still saying no with more pressure now going on Abrams shoulders. Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd has also reportedly joined the cast in a cameo role

AICN meanwhile has reported new story rumors which indicate the film could follow Han Solo leading a group of the younger cast members through the galaxy to find a missing Luke Skywalker.
