It looks like the upcoming “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” could include the return of more than one iconic villain from the franchise.
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The film, the first of Disney’s proposed spin-offs, revolves around a group of Rebel soldiers who set out to steal plans for the original Death Star.
In recent months there’s been rumors of a number of iconic “Star Wars” characters appearing at some point in the movie including Darth Vader in a sizable role, a young Han Solo in a cameo, and today comes talk that Boba Fett will show up at some point.
That last rumor has only had more fuel stoking its fire over the weekend following the Nuremberg Toy Fair. The official LEGO presentation tied to the franchise used a photo of the Boba Fett’s ship Slave-1 to represent the Rogue One LEGO sets on the way.

That isn’t the only “Star Wars” talk today as EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, has explained to The Wall Street Journal why no “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” content is in the game “Star Wars: Battlefront”. Turns out it all has to do with not violating canon:
“You can’t make a game in ‘Star Wars’ that violates the canon of ‘Star Wars,’ […] Meaning, you can’t take something from the future and bring it back into the past unless it’s a reference. We’re trying to stay tightly connected to the ‘Star Wars’ beat for future movies, and we will obviously in future Star Wars games be able to tap the new characters and vehicles and so forth.”
Finally, Amazon reportedly announced an April 5th release date for the Blu-ray release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” but that date listing has since been removed.
