Ahead of the official release on Friday, PlayStation has unveiled a new live-action trailer for “Star Wars Battlefront II”, along with videos of the games ‘Galactic Assault,’ ‘Strike,’ and ‘Arcade’ modes.
This follows on from the ignominious honor the game received today when EA sought to defend the company’s decision to shield popular characters from being immediately available to users who purchase the game. instead you either have to fight it out in the game for over 40 hours or pay up extra to play key characters like Darth Vader. Posting on Reddit in response to complaints, the company response became the most downvoted comment in the history of Reddit by a massive margin.
EA is responding to the backlash by cutting the in-game credits required to obtain these characters by 75% with characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader now taking around 10 hours or more go gameplay to complete before being unlockable.
In addition to an all-new single player campaign, the team at DICE are evolving the game’s multiplayer to become the ultimate Star Wars battleground. With modes supporting up to forty players, the game takes fans through a wide range of iconic locations from all three eras: prequel, classic and new trilogy. “Star Wars Battlefront II” will be available worldwide on November 17th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC.
