Will Fetters (“The Lucky One,” “A Star Is Born”) has been tapped to re-write the Hollywood film adaptation of Harlan Coben’s 2001 novel thriller “Tell No One” at Universal Pictures.
The story follows a paediatrician out on a lake with his wife when she suddenly vanishes and he is attacked. She turns up dead and is declared the victim of a serial killer.
Years later, more bodies turn up and the doctor becomes the prime suspect. At the same time, he is given evidence that his wife is alive and in hiding due to something related to the work she did.
Chris Terrio and F. Scott Frazier worked on previous drafts while Frank Marshall will produce. Ben Affleck was attached to helm at one time.
Guillaume Canet helmed a well-regarded and internationally successful French-language adaptation in 2006 starring Francois Cluzet, Kristin Scott Thomas and Jean Rochefort
