Stanton Set For “Finding Nemo” Sequel

With “John Carter” tanking, director Andrew Stanton is going back to animation and has come onboard a sequel to the 2003 Pixar effort “Finding Nemo” which he co-directed says THR.

Victoria Strouse is writing the script while Lindsey Collins is producing with a 2016 release being targeted. The project joins a fairly full upcoming line-up for the company including “Monsters University,” “The Good Dinosaur” and two untitled projects.

Up until the release of “Toy Story 3”, the original ‘Nemo’ was Pixar’s biggest earner with $868 million worldwide.
