Sylvester Stallone has reportedly been meeting with filmmakers to tackle directing duties on the follow-up to his 2010 action team-up movie “The Expendables” at Millennium Films reports 24 Frames.
Stallone has been talking up an “Expendables” sequel since before the first movie opened, but this is the first time there’s been indication he wouldn’t be directing this outing like he did the first.
In fact, the sequel is getting not just a new helmer but also new writers in the form of David Agosto and Ken Kaufman. Stallone and David Callaham penned the original film’s script.
No word yet on the story, though there’s been hints that Bruce Willis’ character will be serving as the major villain this time out. Now that he’s free, one wonders if Schwarzenegger may pop in for more than a cameo as well.
