Stallone Remakes Koreas Gangster Cop Devil

Sylvester Stallone is spearheading an English-language remake of the South Korean film “The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil” which will be produced by Stallone’s Balboa Productions.

Braden Aftergood (“Wind River”), Jang Won-seok and “Train To Busan” actor Don Lee (aka. Ma Dong-seok) will produce the film with Lee set to reprise his role from the original as a gangster who survives a lethal attack by a serial killer. He forms an unlikely partnership with a cop (Lee Mu-yeol) to help track down the murderer (Kim Seong-gyu).

Lee Won-tae helmed the $9 million production which is screening at Cannes this year and has already been presold to much of the world. The film will open nationwide in South Korean cinemas May 15th.
