Spike Lee Teams With Timberlake For “Gold”

Spike Lee (“Inside Man,” “Oldboy”) is in early talks to direct the Neil Bogart biopic “Spinning Gold” for Foresight Unlimited.

Justin Timberlake stars as the infamous record executive, a poor kid from Brooklyn who went on to define the pop-music culture of his time.

Before his death in 1982 at the age of 39, he was closely aligned with the rise of disco and launched such acts as Gladys Knight, Curtis Mayfield, KISS, Donna Summer and The Village People.

Timothy Scott Bogart wrote the script and is producing alongside Laurence Mark, Gary A. Randall, Timberlake and Mark Damon.
