Spike Lee Goes To “Hell”

Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule production company has acquired the rights to Brendan Koerner’s non0fiction book “Now the Hell Will Start” reports the trades.

Koerner work tracks the story of World War II Private Herman Perry, a black soldier from Washington.

After shooting another soldier, Perry went on the run in the Indo-Burmese jungle and eventually became assimilated into tribal culture.

Lee’s company is also working on a Michael Jordan documentary and developing a James Brown biopic.
