A few more tidbits about the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” have come online.
First up, Heroic Hollywood reports that within the continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the new Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will have been working as Spider-Man for some time before his debut in ‘Civil War’.
The site says that in the film “Spider-Man is considered a myth, an urban legend” and has been active for a little over a year by the time we meet him in ‘Civil War’. Meanwhile the first standalone “Spider-Man” film opening a year later will be set two full years after Peter began his heroics.
Meanwhile, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” actress Elizabeth Olsen spoke about her return to the role of Scarlet Witch in ‘Civil War’. Talking about her appearance in the film with Collider, she says:
“I was only there for five weeks of it, but we were all super stoked about it… Even though the Ultron robots are so intensely human because of its mind, we’re actually dealing with humans this time through and through.
There’s nothing scarier than something that’s like you being dangerous, so I think it’s darker and it’s fun. It’s really fun – it was so hard to shoot, but I think it’s gonna be a really interesting film. I’m excited to see how they’re gonna end it, I wanna see what the ending shots look like because I wanna know what the ellipses is at the end of the film.”
Asked if she will return for the two-part “Avengers: Infinity War” she said: “Those are things I would like to know too (laughs). Those are things I have a group of people with me right now that would like to know too.”
