A couple of bits of small talk surrounding current box-office champ “Spider-Man: Far from Home” have surfaced.
First up, Twitter legend Boss Logic has posted a tweet (with accompanying artwork) which suggests that the next film in the series will not only boast the comic baddie Kraven the Hunter, but said character will hail from Wakanda – specifically a now non-existent tribe exiled from the country. It’s a fascinating idea, turning a potentially riskily comical villain into one both linked to the wider MCU and with more gravitas.
Next up, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” actor Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed on social media he had another cameo in the film – dressed in a Hawaiian shirt. Fans have found a shot of Peter (Tom Holland) in Venice as the high schooler was preparing to buy his Black Dahlia murder necklace, and Gyllenhaal can be seen walking behind him.
Finally, original “Spider-Man” trilogy director Sam Raimi spoke with Yahoo recently and revealed he still hasn’t quite shaken off his original plans for a fourth “Spider-Man” – plans scrapped after the third: “I think about it all the time. It’s hard not to, because each summer another ‘Spider-Man’ film comes out! So when you have an unborn one, you can’t help but think what might have been. But I try to focus on what will be, and not look into the past.”
“Spider-Man: Far from Home” is now in cinemas.
