The biggest rumor of the day today is that Spider-Man may show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe earlier than expected, but not as early as previous rumors suggested.
At last report, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios were trying to hammer out a deal in which the webslinger would appear as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with an appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” being potentially the earliest possibility.
However, said deal apparently broke down and Sony planned to go it alone. Now, a juicy report at Latino Review indicates the two tried again and have sorted out a deal in which the character will make his debut in 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part I”.
This is still very much a rumor, but it has been previously indicated that by the time ‘Infinity Way’ rolls around, the ‘Avengers’ line-up will look quite different to the one we start off with in ‘Ultron’. Spider-Man, a role that would be recast of course, would essentially fill a hole left by some of the other characters.
Speaking of “Avengers,” in the wake of this week’s launch of the trailer there has been much debate about several key shots in it – from the numerous hints at “Black Panther,” to the brief appearances of two different female characters in the trailer. In regards to the later, suggestions have included Shuri, Death, Moondragon, Jorasta, Enchantress, Hela and Dora Miljae. Which characters do you think they are? Have your say in the comments below.
