Scott Speedman, Bruce Greenwood and Macha Grenon have joined the cast of Richard Lewis’ “Barney’s Version” says the trades.
Based on the Mordecai Richler novel, the story follows a man (Paul Giamatti) who has lead a reckless life highlighted by three marriages. Now suffering from Alzheimer’s, he becomes a suspect in the mysterious disappearance of his bosom buddy.
Speedman will play Boogie, the missing friend. Greenwood has been tapped to appear as Blair, Barney’s rival in love. Grenon will play Solange, another close friend of Barney’s. Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Rosamund Pike and Rachelle Lefevre also star.
Michael Konyves adapted the script and filming kicks off August 17th in Rome. Robert Lantos is producing.
