Kevin Spacey has scored the final key role in “Horrible Bosses” for New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The black comedy revolves around three frustrated friends who conspire to murder each other’s bosses with unexpected and rather calamitous results. The three bosses include a master manipulator (Spacey), a sexually aggressive dentist (Jennifer Aniston) and a weaselly scion (Colin Farrell).
Jason Sudekis, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day play the three friends while Jamie Foxx stars as a scam artist who helps them set up their plans. Spacey’s character is Bateman’s boss and the actor beat out the likes of Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jeff Bridges for the role.
Seth Gordon directs from a script by Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley and Michael Markowitz. Brett Ratner and Jay Stern are producing and filming kicks off next week in Los Angeles.
