Sorkin, Rudin Team For “Mockingbird” Play

Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin will re-team with his “The Social Network” and “Steve Jobs” producer Scott Rudin for a new stage play production of Harper Lee’s iconic 1960 novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”.

This new version, penned by Sorkin and produced by Rudin, plans to launch during the 2017-18 Broadway season with Tony winner Bartlett Sher set to direct.

Rudin has been a longtime theater producer and is behind productions of recent years such as “A Raisin in the Sun,” “The Book of Mormon” and “This Is Our Youth”. Sorkin’s early career was as a playwright with one of his earliest works, “A Few Good Men,” turned into the Oscar-winning film of the same name.
