James Gandolfini and “The Sopranos” producers David Chase and Steven Van Zandt are re-teaming for the coming-of-age drama “The Twylight Zones” at Paramount Pictures says Variety.
Set in the 1960s, the story involves three high school friends who form a band inspired by the classic rock influences and follows both their rise and the pitfalls of fame. Gandolfini is set to portray the father of one of the teens (John Magaro).
Bella Heathcote, Will Brill and Jack Huston also star. Chase is writing, producing and will direct with shooting to kick off in February. Van Zandt will produce and supervise the music. Mark Johnson (“Rain Man,” “The Chronicles of Narnia”) also produces.
