Sony Pictures has done some more shuffling of its 2017 release date schedule with three movies set to change dates.
First up, the Nikolaj Arcel-directed film adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” has been pushed back by a month from January 13th to February 17th. Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey star in the film which begins shooting in seven weeks in South Africa.
“Bad Boys 3,” which was slated for that mid-February slot, has now been pushed back to a mid-summer bow on June 2nd 2017. Joe Carnahan is directing the film which is expected to include the return of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Finally, the “Barbie” movie has been moved up by three weeks to a May 12th 2017 release. Currently there’s no director attached at this point.
