Sony Plans Astronaut Tale “Endurance”

Sony Pictures has won the film rights to 52-year-old American astronaut Scott Kelly’s upcoming novel “Endurance: My Year in Space.” The pioneering NASA astronaut Kelly returned to Earth on March 1st after nearly a year in space aboard the International Space Station.

The story chronicles his early struggles as a C- student, his training as a Navy test pilot and the highly competitive drive both he and his identical twin brother, Mark, underwent to become astronauts. He retired in April with the record for the most days spent in space for an American

Amy Pascal, Elizabeth Cantillon and Rachel O’Connor will produce.
