Sony Pictures used their CinemaCon presentation last night to confirm that another “Jumanji” film is on the way with the follow-up to “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” set to hit cinemas around Christmas 2019. Dwayne Johnson was also confirmed to return for the film, the only returnee at this time.
The studio also revealed that the upcoming “Goosebumps” sequel will go by the official title of “Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween” and have confirmed that Jack Black will return as the voice of Slappy, though it’s uncertain if he will be back as author R.L. Stine in the film which opens October 12th.
Judging from the reaction, all the talk of the panel was about Quentin Tarantino’s new film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” which hasn’t shot anything as yet. The filmmaker and star Leonardo Di Caprio were on hand to talk about the film and their plans for the production.
Trailers for the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly comedy “Holmes and Watson” and Yann DeMange’s drug drama “White Boy Rick” also reportedly fared well with the crowd.
