Sony Looks At Famous Singing “Girls”

Sony Pictures is currently seeking a female writer to adapt Sheila Weller’s book “Girls Like Us” says The Playlist.

The story views the careers of musicians Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell and Carole King through the lens of the 1960s era and how their success helped shape music and feminist culture.

Amy Pascal and Elizabeth Cantillon are producing. The film has become a “priority project”.
