Sony Classics Grows “Wild Grass”

Sony Pictures Classics has picked up North American and Australasian distribution rights to French-language director Alain Resnais’ “Wild Grass” says the trades.

Andre Dussollier, Sabine Azema and Mathieu Amalric star in the film which tells the story of a romance that begins with an incident of a found wallet. The story is based on Christian Gailly’s novel “L’incident”,

No release date has been set. Resnais last directed the interlocking romance “Private Fears in Public Places” in 2006. ‘Grass’ premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
