Sony Pictures has announced several key release date changes and/or new dates.
The most notable is the “Sicario” sequel “Soldado” has been slated for a June 29th 2018 release, taking over the release date previously set aside for the “Barbie” movie which will now open August 8th 2018.
Similarly, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly’s comedy “Holmes and Watson” has been pushed back a few months and will now open November 9th 2018. It takes over from “Bad Boys for Life,” the Will Smith-led sequel which has been pulled from the schedule altogether.
Finally, Michelle MacLaren’s adaptation of Kristin Hannah’s World War II novel “The Nightingale” will now debut on January 25th 2019. Two weeks later will be Gina Prince-Bythewood’s “Spider-Man” spinoff “Silver & Black” which has locked in a February 8th 2019 release.
