Sony Acquires “White,” “Royal” Scripts

Sony Pictures has acquire two scripts – the action-thriller “White House Down” and the action-adventure “The Royal Honours Society” reports the trades.

James Vanderbilt (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) penned ‘White’ which is being described as “Die Hard” meets “Air Force One”. Vanderbilt, Bradley Fischer and Laeta Kalogridis will produce.

Ernest Lupinacci penned ‘Royal’ which is described as an action-adventure tale mixing up elements from iconic stories by great Victorian-era authors like Jules Verne, HG Wells and Robert Louis Stevenson.
